In this book, author Dr. Reldan Nadler takes you through 108 strategies that can help build confident and collaborative star performers. As the author himself puts it, “There really is too much in this book. If you practice on a regular basis just 10 of these 108 strategies you would be heads above your competition and miles closer to your goals”. According to Dr. Nadler, the way to develop stars is to incorporate emotional intelligence into leadership. The author argues that companies must concentrate on finding leaders within their ranks that are willing to foster teamwork, encourage and respect those they work with, while always continuing to strive towards developing their own leadership abilities. These individuals exhibit ’emotional intelligence’, and through such a process you can create a work environment of respect, trust, and collaborative support. This sort of change can also improve worker retention because individuals are allowed to flourish and enjoy their surroundings. Through the open communication that emerges, hidden talents can emerge from within the team, and ultimately those with this high ’emotional intelligence’ will be more productive, for they will be more prepared to deal successfully with both others and themselves, motivating others to similarly responding appropriately to the everyday work environment.
