Experience
My professional background is in social work and I have a masters in social work with a concentration in community organization and a doctorate in social welfare. My doctoral work was focused on organizational culture. I have been an executive leader in large nonprofits for over 20 years. For the last 7 years I have coached and consulted with organizations and individuals using appreciative inquiry. As a trainer and a university professor I have embedded appreciative inquiry into everything that I do.

Dr. Jones is on the faculty of: Capella University, Santa Barbara City College Professional Development Center, Antioch University Santa Barbara. She teaches nonprofit management, organizational management, strategic planning and other related courses. She also teaches Appreciative Inquiry to professionals in training to be coaches at the College of Executive Coaching. She is on the Board of Directors of Hillside House in Santa Barbara and Women of Wellness in Santa Barbara.
