Give yourself a Break Today

“Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop.” — Ovid

Many of us spend a great deal of time trying to be as productive as possible and as efficient as possible.

And with good reason!  Creating measurable results can make us feel amazing and of value.  Though focusing on creating rewarding and visible outcomes is important, so is taking a breather.

The quote today eloquently helps us to remember that the overtaxed spirit can lend to lesser output.  If you don’t let yourself have time to recharge you will find that your refreshed spirit and motivation to keep on shining will become laden with exhaustion.

If you’re feeling tired, and we’re still in the first quarter of the year, take a break. Kick your feet up, doodle, do a cross word puzzle.  When your brain gets to take a few minutes off, you will find you’re repaid with more energy and the inspiration to create more than if you were to push yourself to keep doing more.

I hope you have a great week and encourage you to let the new week bring in new energy—rest if you need it; it gives space for greater things to emerge!

Appreciatively,

Lynn

Great advice! We all need to recharge our batteries at some point. We can’t be at the top of our game constantly if we don’t take a moment to breathe.
