Day 8 Goods for a Cause: Indivijual
In my work as a social worker and a business coach I support leaders to run organizations that make a difference in the world. In this season of giving, you can support one of the featured organizations in its effort to do good works.
Each organization has fair-trade certification or has otherwise established that it pays its artisans a living wage. Its products meets Western standards of taste and quality. Many of the organizations were founded by women.
Do you know someone that wears glasses? If you do, I am sure that they would love one of these uber cool designer frames! Marty Hackel, Fashion Director, Golf Digest says that these frames are “really stunning!”
Vision seems like the one basic need that should be afforded to each and every one of us, but you’d be surprised to know that there are more than one billion people globally who cannot see clearly because they do not have access to corrective eyeglasses. But that is changing–for every pair of handmade frames purchased from Indivijual Custom Eyewear, they donate a new pair of adjustable prescription eyeglasses to a person in need of corrective glasses in the developing world.

The idea of donating a pair when you buy a pair is compelling and just a great idea. Thank you Dr. Jones for sharing this and other socially conscious businesses.
